Summer in Dornoch
The Scottish Government confirmed 3rd July for self-catering, 6th July for outdoor hospitality and 15th July 2020 for the rest of tourism to reopen and accommodation can now be booked. All our businesses are working through the guidelines to put into place the necessary procedures and protocols to ensure we can open safely.
Look out for the ‘Good to Go’ symbol
Many of our events have had to be cancelled, but our wide-open spaces, our unspoilt beaches and our woodland walks are still here! However, our summer markets resume on 22nd July.
We are all in this together and by following the published guidelines we can stop the virus spreading and keep each other safe by maintaining social distancing, wearing face coverings in enclosed spaces and in shops (mandatory in Scotland), and ensuring good hand hygiene.
The Scottish Government has issued guidance to visitors which can be found here
Our shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions will have their own systems for meeting the guidelines and this may involve queuing, contactless payments, pre-booking and arranging for take-away or delivery service.
We look forward to welcoming you to Dornoch in 2020, but ‘at a distance’ this year! Check out our Visitor Charter for details.
