The Castle was built in the 13th century as the Bishop’s Palace of St Gilbert, who founded the Cathedral. Owned and run by the Thomson family since 2000, Dornoch Castle Hotel has been carefully refurbished to maintain the historic character of the Castle, and provide comfortable accommodation.
