What’s On – October

The nights may be starting to get darker but it’s also the time for stamping on crisp leaves, snuggling up with a hot chocolate (or hot toddy!) and enjoying the best of what this season has to offer.

This month in Dornoch celebrates the ‘water of life’ with the Dornoch Whisky Festival. Visitors can expect a great dram, fantastic food, and warm Highland hospitality!

Surrounded by nature with miles of unspoilt beaches and spectacular views of hills & sea, Dornoch is the ideal place to base yourself whilst you embrace the outdoors. Remember, with the darker nights we get an increased chance of seeing the Northern Lights. This year alone we’ve had some spectacular showings already.

So make sure you feel the glow of wellness after a day in the fresh air and look forward to finding yourself enjoying a warming meal in one of our pubs or restaurants or some home baking and a warming coffee in a cosy wee café.

So, if you love beautiful landscapes, friendly locals, independent shops and a region that is rich in history and nature, Autumn is a glorious time to visit Dornoch.
