Originally built in 1886 in local sandstone, The Meadows has recently been fully renovated and can now offer 4 double, en-suite bedrooms and contemporary, stylish living on a quiet street in the very heart of Dornoch town. The bedrooms are named after local lochs and in two of them, the super-king double beds can be split into twin singles, if required. The other two bedrooms contain king-size double beds. Migdale bedroom is downstairs and is wheelchair accessible.

Everywhere within the town is accessible on foot. The Cathedral and Castle are within 200 m, with Luigis Restaurant and Dornoch Stores within a mere 50 m. Royal Dornoch Golf Club is maybe 500 m away. Yet The Meadows Road is quiet and peaceful.

Downstairs in the house there is a spacious, airy kitchen with granite surfaces, handmade units and top-of-the-range appliances, which opens out onto a generous dining room area, complete with an “honesty” whisky bar featuring local malts. The open-plan sun-room area is ideal for reading the morning papers. A utility room provides full laundry facilities, whilst there is lots of space in the lockable golf club store for clubs to be stored and dried overnight.

The cosy sitting room has an exposed sandstone wall and a large wall-mounted smart TV. There are also local maps to consult, novels to borrow and lots of games and jigsaws stored in the cupboards beneath the window seats.

The house is south-facing and the large, patio and pretty garden is ideal for al fresco drinks or eating. The driveway has space for 2 cars and there is more free parking in the road, if required and an EV charging point a few metres away.

The recent renovations mean that The Meadows is fully insulated throughout and is now sustainably heated via an air source heat pump, with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.
