Dornoch Whisky Festival

The Dornoch Whisky Festival 2024 will be back in full swing this year, running from Friday 26th October to Sunday 28th October 2024. As a firm fixture in the autumn calendar, the festival offers a relaxing weekend of whisky-related activities in the beautiful Highland town of Dornoch.

Known for its warm, welcoming vibe, the festival proudly embraces its identity as a “wee festival” with a big whisky experience. One of the main highlights is our Grand Tasting, traditionally held on Saturday. This year, to welcome even more whisky enthusiasts, we’ve split the event into two sessions: a morning tasting from 11:30am to 2:20pm, and an afternoon session from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

Across both sessions, we’re expecting around 400 attendees, all eager to sample some of Scotland’s finest whiskies. With over 20 exhibitors, the drams will be fantastic—but it’s not just about the whisky. The Grand Tasting is a chance to meet industry experts, connect with fellow whisky lovers, and discover everything from classic malts to rare editions, all sure to please your palate.

Throughout the weekend we have a range of events in collaboration with Carnegie Whisky Cellars, Dornoch Castle Hotel, Dornoch Distillery, Eagle Hotel, Links House at Royal Dornoch and Royal Dornoch Golf Club where you’ll find a whole host of masterclasses, tastings, paired dinners and brand-new events we’ve never done before!
