Dornoch Distillery & Bottle Shop

Not content with establishing one of the World’s leading whisky bars in Dornoch, brothers Phil and Simon Thompson have upped their ambitions and started making their own whisky and gin in Dornoch’s first distillery.

Dornoch Distillery was born out of a successful crowdfunding campaign which saw 200 whisky enthusiasts from all over the world dig deep in support of the philosophy of bringing old styles of distillation back to life.

During the first year, they began releasing independent bottlings of rum and whisky. They now also produce their award-winning (best in Scotland) Mediterranean gin, as well as two blended malt Scotch whiskies.

In 2022 they moved into their new “Global Headquarters” building in Station Square, Dornoch, where they have a little shop in which you can browse a large selection of their spirits as well as a selection of other Scottish brands.
