Dornoch Beach Wheelchairs

Dornoch Beach Wheelchairs is a Scottish Charity that believes everyone has the right to enjoy our wonderful beaches, regardless of their physical condition.

This service is unique to the North of Scotland and where better to build this facility than the beautiful town of Dornoch, with its miles of soft, golden sand?

The beach wheelchairs are free of charge, available from our specially built shed at the Dornoch Beach car park that is manned by local volunteers. There are five beach wheelchairs available, which are specially designed with large rubber wheels to make it easy to push them over the sand. We have one powered chair, which can be driven by the user or their carer.
