Balblair Distillery
Where a warm welcome is guaranteed
Situated just 10 miles from Dornoch in the small village of Edderton on the south shore of the Dornoch Firth, Balblair Distillery was first established by John Ross in 1790.
Described as the ‘quintessential distillery’, Balblair sits on the site of a Pictish gathering place and is watched over by the Clach Biorach standing stone with its Z-Rod carving – symbolised on each bottle.
Visitors can choose from a selection of tours and tastings, allowing you to explore the buildings, meet the makers and sample the malt.
