Named for the Scottish Gaelic for ‘The Sea’ MARA is a true celebration of the best of Scotland’s larder. Our menu changes along with the seasons, with an emphasis placed on ethical, locally sourced produce.

At MARA, we are guided by the principles of S4+0, where our team aims to create each menu filled with produce which is Scottish, seasonal, sustainable, and slow with an effort to achieve the target of zero waste.

DINNER – The Kitchen team has curated a menu, inspired by the land and sea that surround us. Using a range of produce, sourced from our trusted local suppliers and friends, they present such gifts with minimal interruption to celebrate their natural flavours.

DRINKS – At MARA we are fortunate to have a thoughtfully curated wine cellar with a notable selection of wines alongside a handpicked spirits and whisky list, representative of many local distilleries. Our team is more than happy to make recommendations if you are looking to discover a new favourite.

THE TEAM – Here at MARA we are fortunate to have a small but dedicated team who strive to create the best possible dining experience. With a passion for creating the best possible menus, they are keen innovators, and love nothing more than foraging for the freshest local produce, or meeting with our local producers.

THE ANTEROOM PRIVATE DINING – A venue designed for entertaining, The Anteroom provides an unrivalled space to enjoy intimate events and festivities for up to 14 guests. Enjoy a bespoke menu consultation with Head Chef and our F&B team, and then enjoy the best of Scottish fine dining.

AFTERNOON TEA – JOIN US SATURDAY OR SUNDAY TO ENJOY OUR TAKE ON THE CLASSIC. Our menus are filled with delicious sandwiches, mouth-watering savouries and delicate pastries and cakes. Choose from a selection of loose-leaf teas, add a little extra sparkle with a glass of Joseph Perrier champagne.
